[SOLVED] Rotating/moving bones after skinning

If I move/rotate bones in the "Bind Pose" after skinning then go back to "check pose", my model is all broken as it's moved all the verticies based on the original mapping. Is there a way to reset the check pose to match your new mapping?
Or am I missing something obvious?

Maybe that is what you looking for ? Bind pose RMB > set as ref Pose

If i understand well, i don't think that setting a new (or dedicated) Ref Pose would fix what woathere is talking about.
In fact, if you modify your skeleton at the end of the skinning stage, it is quite logical that it will impact the way your vertices will move.
That is why the best process is: to roughly build your skeleton, then to make a basic level of skinning, then to tweak the position/orientation of our bones and, at final, to make your final skinning.
