[SOLVED] Two Bind Poses?

PostPosted by Barliesque » Mon Mar 20, 2017 10:04 pm

Somehow I ended up with two bind poses. I must've done something wrong at some point and didn't notice right away. The second bind pose only has one mesh bound to it -- I've tried to re-bind it to the first bind pose, but can't seem to find any way to rectify the error.

Solved it! :D

Firstly I had to unbind the skinned mesh that had accidentally been bound to that pose, by dragging it out of the Character hierarchy. Then, the "Delete" option appeared as an option in the context menu for the redundant bind pose.

Hi Barliesque,

For your information, in the future it will not be possible anymore to have multi bind poses. So you won't bump into this kind of issue anymore.

Thanks

Aaaaargh! This just happened again with another model. By the time I noticed the second pose, I'd already bound half of the model to it!

I don't suppose there's some way to merge the two poses together, is there?

[EDIT] Ahhh... no worries. Barely took me a few minutes to rebind and sort things out. I'm getting faster and faster with Akeytsu -- and, by the way, LOVING it! :D

Hi Barliesque,

You obtain a second Bind Pose if you make a new Bind Skin when selecting another pose than a Bind Pose.
=> To avoid creating new Bind Poses, take care to select the Bind Pose when you use "Bind Skin" again.

Unfortunately, there is no way to merge two bind poses together, keep going !

Regards,
Cassandra
