Hi Eleszar1,

First of all, congrats for your character. I would be interested to see him moving in akeytsu ;-)
Well, for the moment i do not see other way to select your chain vtx, by select a vtx of a link and hit "*" (numeric pad) to select directly all the vtx of the mesh (here link). Then repeat the operation with "Ctrl".
However, each time the chain can be "far" from other meshes, i recommend to turn your camera to grab vtx quickly with rectangular selection. Then for close parts, please use the process above.
If you have your chains as separated meshes, an other way would be to temporarily hide the other meshes, just the moment you skin your chains. The problem here is that you won't see the interactions with other part meshes when you will check your skinning by rotating your joints. However, once you have skinned vertices, you can quickly (re)select all the vertices of a joint with the command "Select influenced vertices" (RMB menu on an influence into the Skin Atelier).
It's the way to do it for now. Thanks for your comprehension.

Cheers,
Aurelien
(by the way:
"+" increase your vtx selection
"-" decrease your vtx selection
"*" select all vtx of a mesh
"/" invert your vtx selection)
